„Warm“ Edge

The SWISSPACER is made of insulating plastic material composite, which is a barrier for energy losses arising at the interface between the glazing and sealing. Their edges have a higher temperature than in the case of aluminium or steel barriers, hence the common name “warm spacer”. As a result of the elimination of weaker point of the window structure heating costs also significantly decreases. Available in the Advance and Ultimate versions – currently the most efficient frame in the world according to IFT Rosenheim research.

Advantages SWISSPACER

SWISSPACER has in its assortment a selection of thermally optimized warm spacers made of insulating plastic composite. SWISSPACER products reduce the amount of heat escaping through the glass. Guaranteeing:

  • Lower electricity bills
  • A more pleasant temperature at home
  • reducing the risk of moisture condensation on the edges of the glass
  • long-term performance

Long-term performance

Warm spacer frames help increase the window’s energy efficiency. They also have other important functions; they separate the glass from each other by using a sealant and drying agent from a gas-tight barrier, which prevents the inside glass from the moisture and the insulating gases from getting out of the inside glass. If the spacer frame does not stop moisture outside and a mixture of sealing gases inside, the composite glass will quickly lose its energy efficiency and become almost completely useless.

Of course, the multiannual performance of the composite glass depends on the amount and thickness of the sealant layer and drying agents, as well as on the quality of its execution. However, the gas-tight barrier frames SWISSPACER fully (100%) protect before escaping gas from the inside and to get moisture inside the composite frame by the spacer frame, which ensures long-term efficiency and helps you save more and more energy from year to year.
